This feature is only applicable to Social Media campaigns on Meta.
Meta allows you to create custom audiences based on users who have shown interest in your Meta events. With XPO, you can choose to retarget visitors who have responded to an event on your Meta Page.
- From your XPO Admin Dashboard, click on Audience from the menu bar.
- Click +Audience to create a new Audience Segment.
- Enter your Audience Segment Name.
- Select your Audience Type as Meta Ads, then select Event Audience as the audience sub-type.
- Select the Meta Ads Account that you will use to create this audience segment.
- Select a Data Source. Currently, we only support pixels associated with the selected ad account.
- Select a Catalog Type that aligns best with your event-based audience. Choose among the following catalog types (learn more on Meta):
-
-
-
- Travel (Hotel, flight, destination)
- Real Estate (Home listing)
- Automobiles (Vehicles)
- Product (NOT SUPPORTED)Here, you may include (limited to a single rule) or exclude (one or more rules) the audience based on their engagements with your Facebook event page. Below are the types of page engagements supported by Meta Ads:

- Search
- View Content
- Purchase
- Initiate Checkout
- Add to wish list (Automobile only)
- Lead (Automobile only)
- Targeting options differ depending on the catalog type.

For example, the targeting options for Travel catalog types (pictured below) are limited based on how close people are to their travel dates.

- Click Save at the bottom of the form to create the event audience. You can access the newly created event audience from your Audience Dashboard.
Linking / Unlinking
You can only link Event Audiences and ad groups that share the same catalog type. For example, you can link a Flight event audience to a Flight catalog ad group.
You can:
- Link multiple audiences to single ad group.
- Link a single audience to multiple ad groups.
- Remove a single audience or remove all audiences.
Any audience segment created in XPO will be created on Meta under the selected ad account.
