How To Integrate AppsFlyer For Mobile App Tracking

XPO is integrated with AppsFlyer to support measurement and tracking across these channels:

  • Programmatic Channels (Display/Native/Video)
  • Facebook
  • Google
  • Universal App Campaigns (UAC)

 

Configure AppsFlyer to Link To XPO

Log in to your AppsFlyer   account to configure the necessary postback events to XPO.
  1. On the sidebar of your AppsFlyer account, go to Configuration -> Integrated Partners, then search for "Knorex" and click on it to open the setup page:

  2. Under Integration (tab), enable In-App Events Postback.

  3. Save and close to complete the setup.

 

Configure AppsFlyer for Facebook

  1. On the sidebar of your AppsFlyer account, go to Configuration -> Integrated Partners, then search for Facebook and click to open the setup page.

  2. Under Integration -> General Settings, type in your Facebook App ID. (NOTE: contact your Knorex account manager to create the Facebook app)

    We recommend maintaining both the Click-Through and View-Through Attribution Lookback Window at 28 days and 1 day respectively, to match Facebook Configuration.

  3. Save and close to complete the setup. Learn more at AppsFlyer's Facebook documentation  .

 

Configure AppsFlyer for Google Ads

  1. On the sidebar of your AppsFlyer account, go to Configuration -> Integrated Partners, then search and click Google Ads (fka, Google Adwords):

  2.  Under the Integration tab,

    • Under General Settings, type in the Link ID. 
    • Turn on Google AdWords Re-targeting in order to track retargeting campaigns on Google Ads.
    • We recommend setting both the Click-Through and View-Through Attribution Lookback Window at 30 days and 7 days respectively, to match Google Ads configuration.

  3. Save and close when you have completed the above steps. Learn more at AppsFlyer's Google documentation  .

 

Troubleshooting:

If Status remains as INACTIVE, check the following if:

  • configurations are set up correctly in AppsFlyer, that all the events are being sent. If you have configured only XPO attributed conversion, then you will need to trigger/wait for a conversion event to happen to see the status changed to Active.
  • AppsFlyer is set up properly in the app.
  • the correct mobile app (and app ID) has been entered into XPO.
  • both Android and iOS apps are configured in your MMP
