Before you start
Set up the necessary prerequisites for audience targeting settings.
Instructions
- From your Campaigns dashboard, select a Meta Ads campaign.
- Click on the Meta Ad Group you have created to enter the ad group level dashboard. To learn how to create a Meta ad group, refer to this article. From the ad group dashboard, you will see:
The Performance area of the dashboard, which displays real-time numerical and graphical data for your ad group's performance. The dashboard includes metrics such as impressions served, revenue, click-throughs and budget spent. You can adjust the time period of the data shown by editing the calendar dates. - Most of the targeting filters for Facebook are already determined when you set up the ad group. Follow the video and steps below to complete the ad group targeting settings:
- Ad Group Info: Click on this option to see and edit all the information pertaining to the ad group including budget cap, optimization for ad delivery, conversion window, and bid strategy.
- Audience: This filter is determined during ad group setup and can be modified if needed.
- Behaviors: This filter is determined during ad group setup and can be modified if needed.
- Day & Time: This filter allows you to choose the days and times in which your ads are served during your campaign. You have the option to choose to show your ads during All days, Weekend only, Weekdays only, Weekdays (9am-5pm), or a custom date and time period that you can highlight in the graph provided. Click Save button to confirm the changes.
- Demographics: This filter is determined during ad group setup and can be modified if needed.
- Geography: This filter is determined during ad group setup and can be modified if needed.
- Interests: This filter is determined during ad group setup and can be modified if needed.
- Placements: This filter is determined during ad group setup and can be modified if needed.
- Creative: Click on Link Creatives and select the creative you would like to add. Click on Save button to confirm the changes.
- Languages: The language targeting will be based on the language set in the Meta Ads account on the user level. To add a language filter, select the +ADD option. Select the relevant languages you wish to target and click Save button to confirm your changes.
